The Department of Veterans' Affairs & the Repatriation Commission and the Military Rehabilitation and Co are seeking proactive and skilled Business Analysts to join dynamic project and program teams across the department. These roles play a critical part in shaping solutions, improving business processes, and supporting evidence‑based decision-making.
You will work with multidisciplinary teams, to deliver high‑value outcomes in tight timeframes and with high levels of senior executive interest.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
* Lead or contribute to requirements gathering, analysis and documentation
* Map and improve business processes, customer journeys and workflows
* Translate business needs into clear functional and non‑functional requirements
* Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and collaboration forums
* Analyse data, risks, and system impacts to support informed decision-making
* Present insights and advice to project leadership and senior executives
* Contribute to strategy development, business cases, and implementation planning
* Work in fast‑paced contexts with competing priorities, compressed delivery schedules and heightened scrutiny
Essential criteria
1. We're seeking candidates who demonstrate:
1. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
2. •Experience working under tight deadlines and high stakeholder interest, including engagement with SES leaders
3. •Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
4. •Confidence in managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels
5. •Experience with process modelling, requirements management, and BA toolsets
6. • A collaborative, outcomes focused approach
7. •Adaptability and resilience in fast changing environments
8. • Experience with frameworks such as BABOK, AGILE, HCD, user centred design, or Digital Service Standard is desirable but not essential.
