We currently have an opportunity to join Smith's Snackfood Company as a Facilities Manager at our Regency Park site.
Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance: Ensure workplace safety, food safety, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance through risk assessments, procedures, and adherence to legislation.
Operational Efficiency: Reduce engineering downtime for services, buildings, and facilities while supporting root cause failure analysis to prevent recurring issues.
Contractor Management: Oversee contractors in line with company policies and legal requirements, including scheduling, performance reviews, inductions, and compliance documentation.
Cost Control: Manage and control expenses for allocated accounts effectively.
Engineering Support & Safety Culture: Provide engineering expertise across departments and actively promote health and safety policies to achieve KPIs and maintain an injury-free workplace.
Qualifications
Trades or tertiary qualifications preferred, with 2-3 years of engineering or maintenance support experience in FMCG environments.
Strong understanding of FMCG equipment, modern maintenance practices, SAP PM, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proven ability to work with diverse teams, manage contractors, and demonstrate leadership and negotiation skills.
Mechanical/electrical aptitude, basic fault-finding, computer literacy, and effective written and verbal communication.
Ability to set priorities, drive results, and communicate productively while ensuring safety and compliance.
