Residential Building Surveyor Position Available
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Residential Building Surveyor to join our team.
* This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate or Licensed Building Surveyor-Limited to work in a leading position within our residential team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking detailed technical assessments, inspections and providing advice on all classes of building. This will include:
* Undertaking detailed technical assessments, inspections and providing advice against the National Construction Code Volumes One and Two of the Building Code of Australia.
* Undertaking mandatory notification stage and statutory compliance inspections on a variety of different building classes.
* Providing governance duties on behalf of local government Councils.
* Provide detailed communication and cooperation with industry professionals and contemporary building surveying practitioners.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency status.
* Completed formal building surveying studies (Advanced Diploma or Degree-level courses – AQF6 minimum).
* Sound knowledge of the current Building Act, Regulations, and the Building Code of Australia (BCA) along with the Building Surveyors Code of Practice in Tasmania.
* 2-5+ years' experience preferred, however, all applicants will be considered.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
* Strong writing skills and ability to clearly communicate with people at all levels.
* Technological competencies and abilities in navigating computer and personal device-based software.
* A current Australian Driver's Licence.
