Cold Concepts Refrigeration is a long established, family-owned business and a recognised leader in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning. With more than 30 years of industry experience, we specialise in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of commercial and industrial systems across major supermarket chains and a wide range of clients.
We manage projects end to end, from design and engineering through to installation and ongoing service programs.
With established operations in Launceston, we are now expanding and setting up a second Tasmanian office in Hobart. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a key growth stage and play a key role in our growing Tasmania team.

The Role
As the key Refrigeration Technician based in Hobart, you will be supporting our clients across the south.
Key responsibilities include:
* Installation, service, maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems across a variety of clients
* Mix of major supermarket chains and commercial clients
* Completing all work to the highest quality standards while ensuring excellent compliance with all aspects of occupational health and safety standards
* Maintaining a safe work environment in line with company policies
* Work autonomously while remaining closely connected to the broader Tasmanian and national team
Skills & Experience Required
* 5+ years’ demonstrated experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration
* Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, organised and able to manage your time effectively
* D Electrical Licence and a Scissor Lift Ticket
* Valid Australian driver licence
* Ability to travel for the role
About You
We are looking for reliable, hardworking individual who have a positive work ethic, is able to follow instructions and show initiative. You will have an excellent customer service outlook, be organised and have great time management skills.
You will have experience working independently and in a team environment and have sound communication and refrigeration diagnostic skills.
With a strong focus on quality and occupational health and safety, you are health and physically fit – so you can keep up with the physical demands of the role - this includes lifting, bending and carrying products.
