Spinifex Junior Campus is seeking a skilled, committed and enthusiastic Schools Officer, Grounds commencing as soon as possible on a permanent full-time basis.
Our ideal candidate will be required to carry out regular maintenance and upkeep of the oval, grounds and gardens at the Spinifex Junior Campus.
This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.

Spinifex State College is a three campus educational facility. Our Junior Campus caters to years 7-9, Senior Campus years 10-12 and the Residential Campus houses all boarding students.

About The Role
Tasks and responsibilities:
* Mowing, watering, weeding and upkeep of gardens and grounds;
* Maintaining garden machinery and tools such as mowers, brush cutters, tractor;
* A general knowledge and understanding of the use of gardening equipment, plants, gardens and watering systems is desired;
* Assist with a range of duties that include coordinating the removal and/or disposal of rubbish as required;
* Attend to or arrange repairs and maintenance within the school, including those which relate to fences, paving, gates and irrigation.
