Forze Explosive Services: Operations Manager - Full Time

About the business: Forze Explosive Services is a 100% Tasmanian owned and operated business which has been in operation for over 25 years. Forze have the proven experience and technical expertise to ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

We are experiencing an exciting period of change and growth. As a result, Forze are seeking expressions of interest for a dynamic and reliable Operations Manager to join the team. If you are currently looking for the next step in your career, then we want to hear from you.

About the role: As an employee at Forze, you will be working with the latest technology to bring successful outcomes to drill and blast projects. Some of the technology includes Photogrammetry Drones, CAD software, GPS Base and Rover equipment to ensure accuracy and precision. We also utilise and maintain a fleet of Explosive Transport Vehicles, Explosive Storage Sites and Manufacturing and Process Equipment.

We operate state-wide, so you will get to work on a variety of different quarry and civil projects around Tasmania. We work closely with related companies ensuring a strong seamless link between drilling and blasting operations. Attention to detail is a critical skill to succeed in these positions. You will have a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, motivate others, meet tight deadlines and be flexible in assigning priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Strong understanding of WHS, environmental and explosive legislation.
* Leadership & Team management, in remote or high-risk environments.
* Lead daily operations across drill and blast projects
* Manage site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
* Liaise with clients to ensure project milestones and KPIs are met
* Oversee resource allocation, and reporting
* Drive operational excellence and implement process improvements

Skills & Experience:

* Leadership & Management training/experience for relevant level.
* Minimum five (5) years industry experience at relevant level.
* A current TAS Shot Firing Permit
* A current TAS Dangerous Goods Licence "CAT 1 - Explosives"
* A current TAS SSDS Responsible Worker Card - preferred but not essential
* A current First Aid Workplace Level II Certificate
