The Role
We're seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support a high‐impact private sector program with a global leader in secure communications and satellite technologies. This Sydney‐based role is ideal for a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, BGP routing, and cloud configuration management.
You'll be part of a secure, NV1‐cleared environment, contributing to the design, implementation, and optimisation of network infrastructure across hybrid cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement enterprise‐grade network solutions with a focus on Palo Alto and BGP.
* Lead configuration management and automation across cloud and on‐prem environments.
* Troubleshoot complex network issues and optimise performance and security.
* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to ensure high availability and compliance.
* Maintain detailed technical documentation and support change management processes.
What You'll Need
* Demonstrated experience as a Network Engineer in secure ICT or enterprise environments.
* Strong hands‐on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, BGP, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
* Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
* Excellent problem‐solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Australian Citizenship with an active NV1 security clearance.
