About the Role
We're scaling the AI Practice in 2026 using a city-based squad model — each squad owns the full client lifecycle in its market.
The Melbourne AI PM is the senior delivery and client lead for Melbourne. You'll partner with the existing Melbourne AI Engineer, a new AI Data Engineer, and a junior consultant you'll coach alongside the AI Practice Lead.
The role is senior, customer-facing and capable of running engagements solo. You're the person the AI Practice Lead relies on to hold the Melbourne market.
What You'll Do
* Shape and close engagements — define the problem, scope the work, structure the commercial model and write the proposal for founder, C-suite and board audiences.
* Lead delivery end-to-end — AI diagnostics, opportunity identification, roadmaps, agent and product builds, transformation programs.
* Run the AI PDLC — discovery, prototyping, evaluation, deployment and iteration for client and internal builds.
* Use AI as your default — prototyping with v0, Lovable, Cursor or equivalent, and automating PM workflows with agents.
* Own senior client relationships — C-suite, founders and boards on your accounts.
* Represent T&G in market — Melbourne events, forums and community.
* Coach and develop — upskill the junior consultant and contribute frameworks, playbooks and case studies to the practice.
You'll Be Successful If You...
* You have 6+ years in product management, with at least 2 years shipping AI-enabled products or features into production.
* You've built agents — and can walk through what you built, the tools and models you used, and the commercial outcome.
* You have commercial instinct — P&L exposure, experience shaping engagements, and confidence quoting work independently.
* You've held the senior seat in C-suite or founder rooms.
* You think in flows, can wireframe, and can articulate UX without a designer in the room.
* You have a track record of measurable commercial outcomes — revenue grown, cost reduced, market entered, product scaled.
* You have the right to work in Australia.
What Success Looks Like
* Three or more end-to-end client engagements led in Melbourne with measurable commercial outcomes.
* Squad consistently hitting 50%+ gross margin.
* Strong client NPS and repeat engagement rate.
* Junior consultant steadily progressing toward independent client engagement.
* At least one framework, playbook or piece of practice IP contributed.
