We are proudly part of Japan Post — www.tollgroup.comToll Group is seeking an experienced Senior Workers Compensation Manager - Queensland for this 2 year fixed term contract, to oversee the management, direction, and performance of the workers compensation function for all Toll Group divisions and business units across Queensland. You will develop and manage state workers compensation activities, applying strategic expertise to work with key stakeholders and mitigate the impact of workplace injuries, all while striving to advance Toll’s Safety Obsessed strategy. This key role also involves managing a small portfolio of NSW workers compensation matters (NSW legislation training provided if required).Key Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of Queensland workers compensation matters and oversee a small portfolio of NSW workers compensation matters.Work with the Group Manager Workers Compensation and Injury Management to improve year-on-year performance in key workers compensation metrics.Develop, implement, and maintain state-based Accredited Return to Work and Injury Management Programs, Manuals, and claims procedures.Provide leadership, vision, and support to reduce premium and claims costs, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve better return-to-work outcomes.Ensure compliance with state legislation, including relevant Acts, Regulations, and Policies.Provide proactive guidance to business units on workers compensation claims, strategies, and financial implications.Implement initiatives that align with and advance Toll’s Safety Obsessed strategy.Essential Qualifications and Experience:7+ years in a Queensland workers compensation role.Preferred experience with a Queensland self-insurer.Experience or interest in managing NSW workers compensation claims.Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills with the ability to influence at all levels.Experience in relationship building with both internal clients and external stakeholders.Proven ability to manage complex workers compensation and injury management matters.Key Skills:Strong planning, organizational, and leadership abilities.Financial and commercial acumen.Expertise in managing workers compensation processes and claims.Why Join Toll Group?This is a great opportunity to lead the workers compensation function within Toll Group and contribute to a unified culture of safety, people, customer focus, and operational excellence.
