Engineering and Reliability Manager – YATALA Responsible for leading Engineering and Reliability at a fast‑growing pet food manufacturing site near the Gold Coast.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Engineering and Reliability team.
Manage maintenance activities, contractors and labour‑hire resources to maximise site performance and minimise downtime.
Drive reliability, asset performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver the site's Reliability Maturity Strategy and 3‑Year Master Plan.
Manage engineering budgets, maintenance costs and critical spare parts.
Lead the delivery of site capital projects.
Partner with Operations, Quality and Safety teams to improve productivity, safety and quality outcomes.
Ensure compliance with company, safety and legislative requirements.
About You You are a proven people leader with strong engineering and maintenance experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a complex manufacturing environment. Key qualifications and skills include:
Strong leadership experience within Engineering, Maintenance or Reliability.
Experience managing contractors, labour hire and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Hands‑on, visible presence on the shop floor.
Problem‑solving skills and a solutions‑focused mindset; RCA experience using 5‑Whys/Fishbone highly regarded.
Experience managing maintenance operations with a CMMS.
Comprehensive understanding of maintenance planning and budget control.
Electrical trade or engineering qualifications, or equivalent professional experience.
