**Job Title:** Dietitian Team Leader

* Lead a dynamic team of dieticians in acute and palliative care
* Champion quality improvement in dietetics and patient outcomes

**Employment Details:** Temporary Full Time (Up to 07/08/2026)
Position Classification: Dietitian Level 3
Remuneration: $56.68 - $58.52 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

**About the Role:** Western Sydney Local Health District provides primary and secondary health care for people living in Auburn, Blacktown, The Hills Shire, Cumberland and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.

**Key Responsibilities:** This position is responsible for the leadership, guidance and line management of dieticians working within Acute and Supportive and Palliative Care services at Auburn Hospital. This includes managing specific projects, assisting with accreditation, acting as a consultant for issues related to nutrition, supervising dieticians and students, planning and evaluating current and new services, developing and reviewing policies, procedures and guidelines, reviewing and implementing Evidence Based Practice and leading quality improvement initiatives and projects.

**Selection Criteria:** Essential Requirements

* Qualification: Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or other qualification deemed appropriate.
1. Extensive post graduate clinical dietetics experience, including a broad generalist knowledge of clinical nutrition.
2. Demonstrated experience or capacity to provide clinical supervision and support to staff including level 1 and 2 Dietitians and support staff.
3. Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services.
4. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as work independently.
5. Good time management skills including ability to manage and prioritise workload.
6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and experience in leading and developing quality improvement initiatives and implementing evidence-based practice.
