The Role
Austrade is seeking two skilled specialists to join the Cybersecurity and Risk team as Cybersecurity Analysts. As a small, high performing team, our staff are responsible for cybersecurity in Austrade's complex global environment.
Role
These roles present a fantastic opportunity to take your cybersecurity career to the next level, providing exposure to many cybersecurity lines of work:
* Cyber threat intelligence and vulnerability management
* Threat hunting and investigations
* Security operations
* Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) platform operation and management
* Governance, risk and compliance including security risk assessments
The successful candidates will be self-starters with a strong aptitude for learning who are willing to apply their skills across the team's deliverables. They will be willing to work closely with the cybersecurity team and other technical staff from across Austrade to deliver quality outcomes.
Duties Include
* Analysing technology service systems and preparing risk assessments in line with Australian government requirements
* Monitoring cybersecurity threat feeds and incident notifications and responding appropriately
* Auditing security measures and providing recommendations to optimise efficiency
* Conducting independent research, analysis and reporting on security vulnerabilities
* Preparing and maintaining policies, procedures and documentation
* Engaging with internal stakeholders and vendor representatives
* Working collaboratively as part of a small, high performing team
* Taking responsibility for the achievement of your outcomes, monitoring progress and following through in order to deliver quality results
* Other duties as required to support the delivery of cybersecurity and technology outcomes for Austrade
* Upholding the Australian Public Service Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct and Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles
