We are seeking a candidate to join our Public Sector claims team at Marsh Australia in the role of Claims Consultant. This role will be based in our Sydney office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role is integral to the delivery of claims management services to our clients. You will handle a portfolio of general insurance claims for Local Government clients, with a focus on liability claims.
We will count on you to:
* Manage end-to-end processes for a mixed portfolio of primarily Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Property claims;
* Conduct accurate reserving, claims investigation, manage claims costs, and negotiate with various third parties;
* Build and maintain rapport with clients;
* Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, and reinsurers.
What you need to have:
* Good written and oral communication skills;
* The ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required;
* The ability to work in Australia.
* We are open to receiving applications from candidates new to the industry, as well as experienced candidates. Salary will be dependent on experience.
What makes you stand out:
The following, while not required, would be highly regarded:
* Previous experience managing public liability / casualty claims;
* Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Law, Business/Commerce, Loss Adjusting or ANZIIF studies;
* Previous client facing experience.
