Our client, APEX Engineering Technology Group, is seeking skilled Metal Machinists to join their Workshop team. The successful applicants will provide manual and CNC machinist/toolmaker services while maintaining high standards in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) in line with ISO requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate manual and CNC lathes, grinders, milling and boring machines
* Use measuring devices for pre- and post-machining checks
* Perform fabrication and welding tasks as required
* Conduct commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of workshop equipment
* Operate cranes and lifting devices safely
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Complete job documentation accurately
* Follow OHS and QA/QC standards
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in manual and CNC machining, commissioning, and maintenance
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
* Understanding of safety and risk assessment tools
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tolerances
* Team players with a proactive, can-do attitude
* Forklift licence (desirable but not required)
