Are you an experienced logistics professional with a strong background in sustainment and inventory management? We’re seeking a skilled Inventory & Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to join a high-performing team supporting complex Defence procurement and sustainment activities.
About the Role
Working within a dynamic logistics function, you will be responsible for leading and delivering integrated logistics support across a range of sustainment programs. This role requires a strategic thinker who can operate with autonomy, apply sound judgement, and deliver outcomes in a complex and regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a logistics team, setting priorities and overseeing workflows to meet operational objectives.
* Develop and implement logistics strategies, plans, and procedures that support the sustainment of critical assets.
* Monitor and report on logistics performance, ensuring alignment with program goals and compliance requirements.
* Provide expert advice on logistics policy, planning, and resource management.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration across all levels.
* Prepare high-level documentation and briefings to support decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks.
About You
You are a confident logistics professional with:
* A minimum of six years’ experience in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of sustainment logistics, inventory management, and procurement processes.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage resources, and deliver strategic outcomes.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Certificate IV in Logistics Management (or equivalent)
* MLPC certification
* Experience in complex procurement environments
Desirable:
* Diploma of Materiel Logistics
* MLIC – Frontline Management
* Qualifications in Supply Chain Management
