Platinum Pacific Partners is partnering with an established but continuously fast-growing private credit platform that is seeking to fill a newly created role.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior workout and recovery position within an entrepreneurial and well-capitalised non-bank lender with a substantial national real estate loan book. The business has built a strong reputation in property-backed private credit and is continuing to scale, creating genuine long-term career upside for the right person.
The opportunity
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of a portfolio of non-performing, impaired and high-risk commercial real estate exposures and lead recovery outcomes across a diverse range of assets.
This is a highly visible role suited to someone who enjoys complex problem solving, commercial decision-making and working through bespoke situations in a fast-moving environment.
Key responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of impaired, non-performing and higher-risk CRE loans
* Develop and execute tailored recovery, restructuring and workout strategies
* Assess and recommend recovery pathways including refinance, asset sale, enforcement and exit strategies
* Work closely with internal credit, legal and investment stakeholders
* Manage external advisers including lawyers, valuers, insolvency practitioners and receivers
* Prepare concise reporting and recommendations for senior leadership
* Contribute to recovery frameworks, governance and process improvement
* Support the business in identifying emerging credit issues across the broader portfolio
Ideal background
We are interested in candidates with proven experience in one or more of the following environments:
* Bank workout / restructuring / lending services / recovery teams
* Non-bank or private credit lenders with distressed loan exposure
* Insolvency / restructuring advisory
* Real estate restructuring or special situations advisory
* Legal backgrounds with strong secured lending / recovery exposure
* Selected asset management or construction-led profiles with direct distressed asset experience
