Sante Recruitment is proud to partner with Central Gippsland Health (CGH) to recruit Emergency Medicine Registrars for 2026. This position is fully accredited for both RACGP AST and ACRRM Emergency Medicine training through the Independent and AGPT pathways — ideal for doctors pursuing a Rural Generalist career pathway.
You'll gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide high-quality emergency care in rural and regional communities, supported by experienced FACEMs, Senior Medical Officers, and highly skilled emergency nursing staff.
Located in the City of Sale, just 215 km east of Melbourne, CGH is the major health and aged care provider for the Wellington Shire. CGH operates three campuses (Sale, Maffra, Heyfield) and delivers a full range of acute, sub‑acute, aged care, and community services. As a Monash University teaching hospital, CGH provides an excellent learning environment for junior doctors and registrars.
Emergency Department Features
* 2 Resuscitation Bays, 5 Acute Cubicles, 2 Treatment Rooms
* Full‑time ED service supported by FACEMs, SMOs, and Rural Generalists
* Access to critical care, neonatal, oncology, and surgical services
The Emergency Medicine Registrar will
* Deliver and oversee high-quality emergency medical care
* Support and mentor junior medical staff and medical students
* Collaborate with the Emergency Clinical Lead and NUM to ensure service efficiency
* Participate in advanced life support, paediatric resuscitation, and procedural care
* Contribute to planning, coordination, and quality improvement within the ED
Key Requirements
* MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
* General, Provisional, or Limited Registration with AHPRA
* Enrolled in (or eligible for) a recognised Rural Generalist Training Program, including:
o RACGP AGPT Pathway
o ACRRM Independent or Rural Generalist Pathway
* Proficiency in Advanced Life Support (ALS), Paediatric ALS, and Airway Management
