About the role and team
We have an opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our growing General Insurance section based in our Sydney office.
The role provides administrative support to a team of Lawyers in the General Insurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to hit the ground running and be part of a friendly, fast paced team.
Key responsibilities:
* telephone handling for the team;
* preparation of monthly billing;
* managing client file maintenance for the team;
* coordinating outgoing mail;
* research for the team;
* maintaining Partners/lawyers’ contacts in our firm CRM InterAction, including assisting with list management on their behalf for events and communications;
* drafting of documentation as required; and
* other ad-hoc administration duties as required.
We would like to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
* minimum two years legal assistant experience in an insurance practice;
* highly organised;
* a team player;
* excellent communication skills;
* experience in using legal billing system and client management program (eg. Aderant would be desirable but not required); and
* experience in using document management system (eg iManage10 would be desirable but not required).
