**The Role**
To coordinate the daily transport delivery schedule and wave control/allocation ensuring that delivery routes are undertaken in the most efficient manner, whilst taking into consideration legislative and customer requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Completes the waves in WMS including updating the wave and load sheets;
- Develop and refine wave templates as per ongoing operational requirements;
- Ensures a balance of work is allocated effectively across the entire facility;
- Oversee the daily transport delivery schedule through the use of a TMS/routing system and giving consideration to:
- The weight of product on the vehicle.
- The number of delivery drops per delivery route.
- Basic fatigue management and COR principles.
- Customer delivery windows and parking restrictions.
- Slotting in new customers into the daily transport delivery schedule;
- Managing vehicle servicing scheduling
- Support the Transport management team in the implementation of continuous improvement, route optimisation and service related projects/initiatives.
**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- Strong knowledge across transport and warehousing and the interlinkages between both functions;
- Strong ability to collaborate cross functionally;
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills;
- Highly developed analytical skills;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong knowledge of COR, OH&S regulations and HACCP/cold storage principles;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Strong computer literacy and experience in using TMS/routing systems and WMS systems;
- Flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional disposition;
- Self motivated with the ability to work autonomously;
- Qualification in supply chain and logistics is advantageous.
