QA / QC Officer (Mechanical Engineering)

Due to continued growth, OLEOLOGY is seeking a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Officer for our HQ in Henderson WA. The QA/QC Coordinator with a mechanical engineering focus will ensure all mechanical works, components, and systems meet quality standards and comply with industry codes, project specifications, and client requirements. Responsibilities include developing and implementing quality procedures, coordinating inspections and testing, and managing project quality documentation.
The Role
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for:
1. Conducting internal audits and inspections
2. Managing quality documents, including reviews and system registration
3. Maintaining quality databases such as QMS, Excel registers, and SharePoint
4. Document control and change management activities
5. Handling client feedback data
6. Investigating conformance issues or incidents and supporting corrective actions
7. Preparing for audits and supporting audit processes
8. Evaluating findings and implementing corrective actions
9. Developing preventative measures and process improvements
10. Identifying root causes of quality issues and leading corrective actions
11. Compiling monthly quality reports
12. Performing inspections of mechanical parts, piping, welds, and assemblies
13. Maintaining detailed inspection and test records
14. Developing QA/QC plans for mechanical systems and fabrication
15. Liaising with manufacturing partners, suppliers, and auditors
16. Collaborating with engineering, fabrication, and construction teams to meet quality benchmarks
About You
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
* 2-3 years of relevant experience
* Experience with QA/QC documentation and reporting
* ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification and understanding of ISO 9001 QMS
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills for stakeholder engagement
* Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands
* Team player with a drive for continuous improvement
* Record and data management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
* Living within 30-minute commute of Henderson WA
* Authorized to work full-time in Australia
