Power & Cartwright is a firm that prides itself on providing legal assistance to generations of families in the Gympie region and the firm traces its history back to 1875. We are seeking legal assistants to provide administrative assistance in various areas of law including Wills, Estate Administration, Conveyancing, Property Law, Litigation and Commercial Law.
The role includes providing secretarial support to our team of solicitors. Depending on your experience your role might include:
* the preparation of Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney and in administering Estate files from commencement to completion including drafting standard applications to the Supreme Court, transmission of estate assets and communicating with clients; or
* providing commercial or residential conveyancing assistance to a solicitor including drafting standard correspondence, settlement figures, conducting searches, maintaining critical dates, attending to stamping and completing PEXA workspaces; or
* drafting Titles Office forms, QCAT or Court forms, maintaining critical dates and drafting standard correspondence.
Experience in any of these areas of law will be highly regarded. Familiarity with LEAP, Word, Outlook, PEXA, Titles Office, Queensland Revenue Office and Lexon procedures will assist, but is not essential.
