Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Newcastle, NSW, with flexibility for work-from-home arrangements. As a Clinical Psychologist at M8 Support, you will provide psychological assessments, deliver tailored counseling services, and engage in clinical supervision. Your responsibilities will include supporting the mental health and well-being of individuals with diverse needs, designing treatment plans, and contributing to fostering resilience and personal development for clients seeking greater independence and community engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Develop, implement and evaluate appropriate treatment plans for each participant and collaborate with families,
* Design, evaluate and assist in the implementation of evidence based psychological interventions.
* Identify opportunities to provide other cross disciplinary services which may be of benefit to the participant.
* Maintain participant health records and documentation according to the organisation's policies.
Knowledge and skills
* Provide assessments and diagnosis of participants.
* Demonstrate ability to provide physiotherapy services to people of all ages with a range of acute or chronic conditions, multiple and complex needs.
* Demonstrate experience in providing physiotherapy assessments and treatments.
* Knowledge of various forms of physical therapy and equipment-based therapy.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* The ability to build and maintain rapport with participants.
* Demonstrate experience in innovative program planning, implementation and evaluation.
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, and Mental Health practices
* Experience in Psychological Testing and Clinical Supervision
* Strong ability to collaborate effectively, build client trust, and adapt to diverse needs
* Registration as a practicing Clinical Psychologist with the appropriate regulatory body
* Up-to-date knowledge of ethical standards and best practices in clinical psychology
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in an allied health setting is highly desirable
