With offices in both Melbourne, Sydney and soon New York, we support remote work – encouraging you to work in the way that allows you to perform best.Please note - this role can be based from either Sydney or Melbourne.The roleWhat you will doYou will work alongside our wider Data Science, Data Engineer and Marketing Science teams, to take our latest modelling innovations and apply it to our customer's data frontiers.
This includes some of the world's largest FMCG brands to Financial Services and Health.
You will leverage the experience obtained in the field working on customer models to help innovate and automate our model workflows and feature engineering pipelines.Your day to day will consist of:Perform exploratory data analysis of a variety of customer and external datasets to understand the customer's business, surface high-signal data and find opportunities for automating data quality assessmentsApply, diagnose and configure our state-of-the-art model to solve our customers problems;Develop expertise in new domains, understanding industry nuances and contextualising model performance.Be a collaborative team member, working with stakeholder teams to improve process and suggest model workflow and feature pipeline improvementsWhat we are looking forAbout YouWe are looking for people with Junior to Mid level experience in fields like Product Analytics, Data Analytics, Marketing Analytics and Data Science who performed EDA, diagnosed ML models and leveraged model outputs to solve business problems.Having demonstrable experience with Time series data and models is also preferred while experience with Bayesian statistics/models and Media Mixed Modelling (MMM) is an added bonus.Minimum Requirements:2+ years in a data analytics, product analytics, marketing analytics, customer data science or equivalentExperience with Python and experience with libraries such as Pandas and NumPyManipulating dataExploratory data analysisDebugging codeSQL to extract and explore dataComfortable with gitExperience working in environments where you have managed multiple projects at one time while maintaining a high level of attention to detail will also make you a potential great fit here.
We are looking for someone with a pragmatic approach to their work, understanding when to make trade-offs and the risks associated.Proactive communicator, this role is cross functional and plays a key part in ensuring customers are getting value out of our product.
As such communication is key!Ability to manage deadlines and set expectations around timeliness of work.Desirable Requirements:Experience engineering new features and building and optimising model workflows (using open-source modelling libraries such as Scikit-Learn, XGBoost or Statsmodels, etc.)
