What you will do
Provide high-level strategic leadership, direction and advice on the planning, operation, and ongoing enhancement of SA Housing Trust's finance and procurement functions to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
Lead the delivery of comprehensive financial analysis and modelling to support critical decision-making processes, including the preparation of Cabinet submissions, budget proposals, and investment cases that reflect whole-of-government goals.
Lead the design and implementation of integrated financial systems, internal controls, and reporting mechanisms that guarantee data integrity, operational efficiency, and accountability throughout the organisation.
Champion public value by implementing strategic procurement frameworks that deliver value for money while supporting sustainable outcomes in accordance with State Government policies.
Lead high-performing teams in finance and procurement by nurturing a culture of integrity, collaboration, continuous professional development, performance management, and succession planning.
Provide trusted strategic advice to executive leaders across the Trust to support informed decision-making on matters relating to financial sustainability.
What you bring
Proven ability to identify strategic goals for large organisations while articulating shared visions that secure engagement from staff members as well as stakeholders at all levels.
Exceptional written communication skills complemented by confident verbal presentation abilities that enable you to relate effectively with individuals or groups both inside or outside the organisation.
Experience working sensitively within politically or socially nuanced contexts—particularly those involving Board-level reporting or oversight responsibilities.
A track record managing multi-disciplinary teams comprising professionals from diverse backgrounds as well as senior business staff members across various functions.
Graduate qualifications in fields such as economics, accounting, law or business are essential for this role given its technical complexity.
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
