Your new role
A public-sector department is seeking an experienced Learning Development Specialist for 6 months to support the implementation of a new Human Resource Management System, including SAP SuccessFactors HR & Payroll modules and Workforce Software Time & Attendance Modules. The 1HRMS Learning Development Specialist will play a key role in driving the adoption and readiness of the new system for all staff.
Reporting to the 1HRMS Change Manager, you will design, develop and deliver high‑quality training that supports users across a wide range of business areas.
This position is ideal for a training specialist who can translate technical concepts into engaging, accessible learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing and developing high‑quality learning resources including eLearning modules, Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), instructional videos, work instructions and facilitator‑led course materials.
* Ensuring all training outputs align with business needs and project objectives.
* Deliver high quality virtual and face-to-face training sessions to diverse user groups, from front line employees to senior leaders.
* Working collaboratively with SMEs and technical teams to ensure training materials accurately reflect system functionality and business processes.
* Coordinating and facilitating training sessions, workshops, and hands-on learning activities across all impacted areas to maximise user adoption.
* Developing tailored training plans to support successful system adoption across impacted areas.
* Supporting Hypercare activities post‑go‑live to ensure users receive ongoing assistance and confidence in the system.
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated experience delivering training for ERP or large‑scale system training.
* Strong facilitation capability with proven experience engaging large groups in virtual environments.
* Ability to translate complex software systems into clear, user‑friendly learning materials.
* Background in delivering organisation‑wide training programs within multi‑disciplinary environments.
* Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and/or Workforce Software is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in producing clear, structured learning documentation for complex systems.
* Strong instructional design capability, including the development of interactive eLearning content using modern visual design and animation techniques.
* Understanding of adult learning principles, accessibility requirements and inclusive training design.
* Excellent planning, organisation and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Prior government sector experience will be well regarded.
