About the Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues with port-based materials handling equipment. This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills, safety mindset, and excellent communication abilities.
Main Responsibilities

1. Fault Finding & Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues and resolve breakdowns in the field or at our Truganina facility.
\
2. Scheduled Maintenance & Servicing: Perform routine checks and services to keep port-based materials handling equipment in top shape.
\
3. Technical Problem-Solving: Utilize your mechanical know-how to tackle diverse challenges in hydraulics, diesel engines, and more.
\
4. On-Site Support: Deliver high-quality service at customer sites, minimizing downtime and ensuring operations run smoothly.
\
5. Collaborative Projects: Work alongside your team on large overhauls and new equipment commissions.

Requirements
\
\
6. Heavy Diesel Mechanic or HD Fitter Experience: A solid background in the Heavy Equipment industry (transport, construction, agricultural, or mining).
\
7. Mechanical Aptitude & Diagnostics: Familiarity with servicing, diagnostics, hydraulics, and the ability to perform a physically active role.
\
8. Safety Mindset & Communication: A commitment to best-practice safety measures, along with strong communication skills.
\
9. Valid Driver Licence & Trade Qualification: Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, or similar.
\
10. Full Working Rights in Australia & Health Clearance: Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
