About the Role:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has an eye for accuracy, and thrives in an organised, team-oriented environment. You'll be supporting the smooth running of our accounts function — from processing invoices to preparing reports — ensuring our financial operations are accurate, compliant, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable
* Process supplier invoices and staff reimbursements.
* Prepare payment runs and ensure payments are made within agreed terms.
* Issue and follow up on customer invoices and outstanding accounts.
Banking & Reconciliation
* Record daily bank transactions.
Financial Records & Reporting
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial files and records.
* Assist with preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and annual reports.
* Support finance team during internal and external audits.
Team Support & Administration
* Respond to internal and external finance queries.
* Assist with ad hoc finance projects and administrative duties as required.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Skills & Attributes
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Solid communication skills (verbal and written).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Recently completed an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
