The Role
As a Trade Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our vision of a world without housing poverty by ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of CHL properties in the region. Your responsibilities include general handyman duties such as repairs and maintenance, hands‑on gardening, and cleaning tasks. You will work closely with the Internal Maintenance Service (IMS) team to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients. This is a fixed‑term contract role until December 2026.
About You
- Trade qualified in a relevant discipline is desired but not essential.
- Commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing.
- White card (or ability to obtain).
- Current driver’s licence (mandatory).
- Satisfactory police and Working with Children’s check.
Please note that a satisfactory police check is required for all staff; those with client‑related responsibilities must provide an NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
