ConsultANZ is seeking a Site Engineer – Pavements/Drainage to join a large-scale, technically challenging infrastructure project in New Zealand. You will support the successful delivery of drainage, pavement, and fencing scopes, working closely with the site team to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the engineering delivery of drainage, pavements, and fencing packages.
- Assist with survey set-out and ensure accurate as-built records to support quality and programme tracking.
- Prepare work packs, assist in developing JSEAs, and support cost control processes.
- Ensure compliance with consent conditions, safety procedures, and environmental management plans.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, helping to manage short-term planning and daily coordination.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 3+ years’ experience working on civil infrastructure projects, ideally with drainage, pavements, or roadworks.
- Familiarity with site-based QA, environmental compliance, and subcontractor coordination.
- Competent in reading plans, understanding construction methodology, and assisting with budget tracking.
- Practical knowledge of survey set-out and as-built processes is an advantage.
- Solid communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
