We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Disability Support Workers aged 30–40 with a minimum of two years’ experience, including mental health support, to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life of people with disabilities and mental health needs by promoting independence, empowerment, and social inclusion.
To support emotional regulation, reduce behaviours of concern, and promote safety, independence, and overall wellbeing at home and in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide person-centred support to individuals with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities
* Assist clients with daily living tasks including personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and medication assistance
* Support participants in accessing the community, engaging in social and recreational activities, and attending appointments
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and progress notes
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals involved in the participant’s care
Requirements:
* Previous experience in disability support or a similar role (preferred)
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or relevant qualification
* Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Working With Children Check
* Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support others
