About the Role:
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team in Young. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance team (approximately 15 tradespeople and apprentices), ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the plant, equipment, and facilities on-site.
You will play a key role in executing the maintenance plan and coordinating preventative maintenance activities. Additionally, this department is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on maximizing uptime through effective maintenance practices, as well as implementing new technologies and upgrades.
Responsibilities
* Management of Maintenance Team, rosters, time sheets, safety, disciplinary action/conflict resolution, building team morale and upskilling.
* Implementation and following company procedures/policies
* Maintain safe working environment for the site
* Plan and implement in conjunction with the Group Manager for maintenance and project, all short, medium and long term maintenance planning and activities
* Responding to and rectifying maintenance concerns and requests in a timely manner
* Manage/assist with projects for the site where required (continuous improvement/new technology)
* Management of contractors
* Training and upskilling of all Maintenance personnel
What we're looking for:
* Previous supervisory/management experience
* Trade background (Preferably Electrical)
* Previous experience in staff rostering and people management ability including conflict resolution
* Strong planning and business organisation ability
* Strong problem-solving ability
* Passion for quality and continuous improvement
* Ability for strategic thinking and being able to communicate confidently at all levels
* Hands-on approach Role
