About the Role
Based at our 73-bed facility in Midland, this is your chance to create meaningful, joyful experiences for our residents
You'll get to know each person's life story, interests, and goals, and design engaging individual and group activities that meet their psychosocial, cognitive, spiritual, and occupational needs.
You'll plan and coordinate fun events—both inside and outside the community—ensuring everyone feels included and connected.
For residents living with dementia or complex needs, you'll create tailored activities that reflect their abilities and preferences, reviewing plans regularly to ensure ongoing support.
You'll maintain clear, easy-to-read activity calendars, track outcomes, and report progress to the Residential Manager.
The role also involves supporting volunteers, fostering their involvement, and partnering with residents to co-design programs and initiatives.
This is a hands-on, creative role where you can make a real difference, bring energy and positivity to everyday life, and help residents stay active, engaged, and connected in a vibrant, welcoming community.
Shift pattern
3 days per week (45 hours per fortnight), flexible days
Typical shifts: 7:00am–3:00pm or 8:00am–4:00pm

About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor, Diploma, or Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (or equivalent)
Current driver's licence
Experience in aged care, supporting people with dementia and end-of-life care
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Essential Competencies
Understanding of BaptistCare's Christian values
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards
Excellent teamwork, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
Desirable
Current First Aid Certificate
Experience training volunteers and staff
Other Information
You are required to work in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
The position description and your letter of offer outline the terms and conditions of your employment.
You will complete all mandatory training and participate in annual planning and appraisal processes.
A Police Background Check is required.
Additional tasks may be assigned based on your skills, training and experience.
