Canberra Consulting is supporting a Defence capability program, focused on the security assessment and authorisation of complex land mission systems and deployable tactical networks.
This opportunity suits experienced ICT Security Analysts, Cyber GRC specialists, Security Architects or Security Assessment professionals who understand Defence environments, accreditation processes, and the operational realities of secure capability delivery.
You will work within a highly specialised Defence team providing cyber security advice, assessment support, system documentation, governance and stakeholder engagement across critical Army capability programs.
The Opportunity
You will contribute to the assessment and authorisation of Defence land systems operating across standalone applications, tactical networks and integrated mission environments.
This role is heavily focused on:
* Defence cyber security assessment and authorisation activities
* ISM, PSPF and Defence security framework alignment
* Security documentation and governance
* Stakeholder engagement across Defence projects and capability groups
* Secure system delivery within operational Defence environments
This is an on-site Canberra engagement within a Defence facility. Candidates with recent Defence ICT, CASG, DDG, CIOG, tactical communications or deployable systems experience will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct cyber security assessment and authorisation activities
* Develop and maintain security documentation and assessment artefacts
* Provide ICT security advice to Defence stakeholders and project teams
* Support security governance, risk management and accreditation processes
* Review system baselines, changes and security controls
* Participate in workshops, technical reviews and capability discussions
* Contribute to secure capability delivery across land mission systems
* Work within Defence security frameworks and operational environments
Essential Experience
* Active NV1+ security clearance minimum
* Strong experience within Defence or Federal Government secure ICT environments
* Experience in ICT Security, Cyber GRC, Security Assessment or Security Architecture
* Understanding of ISM, PSPF, DSPF and Australian Government security standards
* Experience producing security documentation and assessment artefacts
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Highly Desirable
* Experience with Defence security assessment and authorisation processes
* Experience with tactical, deployable or mission system environments
* IRAP experience or exposure
* Experience working with Defence capability delivery programs
* Cloud accreditation or security assessment experience
