About the Client:Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their busy team for a casual 12-month temporary assignment.About the RoleThe Senior Business Analyst will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving, centered around a large-scale transformation currently underway.Work closely with program, business, and technical stakeholders to effectively discover, define, validate, prioritize, and continuously manage requirements that translate identified needs into outcomes aligned with architectural principles and strategies.Examine and organize requirements to record dependencies, relationships, and identify logical sequences.Synthesize business and technical requirements/concepts and present them in simple terms.Study the system being implemented to become a subject matter expert on its functionality, through researching documentation, experimenting, and interviewing technical experts.Draft business analyst artefacts and documents, including risk analysis, scope modeling, business process modeling, data discovery and analysis, problem tracking, and sequence diagrams.Support stakeholder analysis and assist the team in engaging with stakeholders to understand cross-business functions.Undertake project quality management tasks such as peer reviews and ensuring solutions meet business requirements.Assist the project manager and team in translating requirements into project deliverables and tasks.Help team members document the systems and solutions developed, delivered, and maintained.About YouTo succeed in this role, you should have:Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively and keep stakeholders informed and engaged, both verbally and in writing.Experience communicating with technical SMEs to define and understand business needs, constraints, and concepts, presenting them simply.Flexibility to adapt to agile and waterfall project methodologies.Experience with Salesforce platforms.Ability to work effectively in a team and build productive relationships across projects and business areas.At least 5 years in a similar role.Australian Citizenship.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to hold a Baseline security clearance.BenefitsASAP start date pending clearance.Casual 12-month temporary assignment.Hybrid work arrangements subject to negotiation, with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.Competitive rate based on experience and expectations.Locations include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Adelaide, or Canberra.For more details, email: zoe.eagles@chandlermacleod.comNote: The successful candidate must hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to complete a federal police check.We are committed to diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, women, people with disabilities, and the LGBTIQA+ community.
