Currently we have position available for a Farm Overseer
We are seeking a highly capable Farm Overseer with proven experience in large-scale broadacre cropping to take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of farm operations at Myalls. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional organisation, and the ability to manage contractors, grain storage, machinery, staff, and farm records with accuracy and professionalism. This role suits a proactive, safety-focused individual who values integrity, confidentiality, and teamwork, and who is committed to driving efficient, well-managed, and sustainable farming operations.
This position involves:
* Operating farm machinery
* Maintenance of farm machinery and ensuring the necessary records kept
* Maintaining farm inventory of grain and chemicals
* Organising and communicating with farm contractors
* Farm cleanliness and hygiene
* Farm data recording and reporting
* Ability to utilise computer systems such as Microsoft office and Agworld would be required
* Crop production organisation
* Managing in turning and out turning of grain from on farm silos and bunkers as well as fumigation.
* Managing and coordinating junior staff members
The role requires the ability to work independently and complete set goals within time frames, however, this position is in addition to other permanent and casual staff so the ability to work and communicate within a team is also required. This role requires regular reporting and communication within the management team.
This position would suit a person who has experience and knowledge in broadacre farming. Excellent organisation and communication skills, accurate recording and reporting of farming information and data, and staff management is required. Honesty, respect, and confidentiality are a must.
A Multi Combination Licence and ability to operate road graders and forklifts as well as GPS equipment would be an advantage. Someone with a mechanical background would also be strong asset.

JOB DESCRIPTION
PROPERTIES: Myalls
Responsible for overseeing all farm activity for a large scale dryland cropping, contractor model farming enterprise. This includes but is not restricted to:
· Being involved in weekly toolbox talks with all farm workers – when required. This includes safety acknowledgments, weeks plan of duties and forthcoming preparedness.
· Keeping up to date with inductions and WHS documentation and processes.
· Monitoring and assisting the movement of farm contractors. Contractors are engaged in planting, spraying, harvesting and cartage.
· Organising and taking receival of any seed or chemical supplies. Receipts of receival are to be kept and handed to the office.
· Receival of grain in to the on farm storage complex, monitoring and maintaining of quality in storage and then the despatch of the grain to cartage contractors.
o On farm storage consists of both silos and bunkers.
o This includes the maintaining of the area around the silos to ensure no bugs will get into silos.
o Responsibility for regular fumigation of grain.
· General farm repairs and maintenance.
o This includes fence line clearing, road definition, slashing, field preparation and the maintenance of farm buildings and surrounds and machinery.
· Harvest readiness and harvest organisation.
· Maintaining of farm inventory and rainfall records.
· Maintenance of farm machinery where appropriate and ensuring the necessary records kept. This also includes ensuring machines are booked in for registration checks and ensuring registration is kept up to date.
* Inventory oversight of fuel, chemical, fertilizer and procurement of supplies.
· Ensuring the day-to-day running's of a farm are kept up to date.
· Prioritizing book work where required.
o This includes incident and chemical registers, as well as providing the relevant person in the Priag office with information for invoicing of any contracting work.
o You are to keep a record in your diary of when machinery is received from other farms and returned. For tractors, this can be done with Rotor hours.
o Fuel charts are to be kept up to date.
From time to time you will be required to assist with work on our other farms.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· In consultation with the Operations Manager and at times working with available farm hands, you will be responsible to achieve set work targets.
· Be responsible for managing the planting and harvest periods, including staff and contractors.
· Management of on farm grain stocks and facilitate the out turning of grain throughout the year.
· Organise chemical, fertiliser and seed grading for contractors ahead of time
· Accompany the agronomist on weekly crop checks and be involved in the decision-making processes around farm production and expenditure.
· Farm machinery is to be treated with respect, kept clean and returned from where it was collected once work is complete. Tools are to be returned to where they are stored.
· Assist in farm decision making processes.
· Represent the company in a professional manner. You are also to present yourself in a professional manner.
· Attention to detail and confidentiality on private farm matters and at no time are you to discuss private business matters outside of the business.
· A keen desire to learn and attend grower field days and events to better enhance farming practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
· A minimum of five years farm experience, manager level desired. Especially with managing large scale harvests.
· Experience with silos, bunkers and grain fumigation.
· Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills.
· Honesty, respect and confidentiality.
· Drivers licence.
· MC Drivers license is desired

· Short courses could be required – held certificates are to be provided to Priag Marketing. Priag Marketing will fund any courses that are required for you to perform your duties on the farm.
