Unique Tooling Pty Ltd is a high-precision computerised engineering and toolmaking company that manufactures high-quality metal machined parts, injection moulds, blow moulds and press tools for the medical, telecommunications, defence, science, construction, environmental and packaging industries.
What you will learn
As an Australian-trained Toolmaker you will learn how to operate all manual type toolroom machines including lathes, mills, surface grinders and micro-welding.
You will also be trained in bench fitting.
Throughout your apprenticeship you will gain experience in CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) programming and operating high-precision CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines.
After apprenticeship
When your apprenticeship is complete you will not have any course fees to repay as we pay for your studies and for your attendance at TAFE.

Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Exceptionally high mechanical aptitude.
Good imagination and problem-solving ability.
Take pride in your work.
High attention to detail.
School subjects in engineering, metal work or TAS.
Be physically fit.
Be able to attend TAFE in Ultimo one day per week.
Driver's license advantageous although a bus stop is nearby.
