Grande Escape Resort in the heart of Margaret River is offering a hands-on management role to manage our 57+ rooms. You need to be stress resistant as this role is the centre of the operation of our resort and you must always keep an overview of both processes and staff in the restaurant and conference centre so that guests are always satisfied. We need someone who is passionate about hospitality and can stand back and look at the big picture and think on their feet.
You will need experience in Hotel/Motel front office and food and beverage management and to be able to observe and act where necessary and effectively work with other managers.
Ideally, you will be well experienced in the hospitality arena and have a desire for training others to provide the service that our guests deserve.

Key Responsibilities:
* Guest Experience: Ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and a seamless, personalised experience. Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and resolve any issues to guarantee satisfaction.
* Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a passionate team of front-line staff in front office and restaurant/functions, ensuring high performance, clear communication, and a positive working environment. Good assertiveness is very important, because giving tasks and instructions requires reliable implementation in order to maintain an overview of the processes.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, completing a costed roster and managing shifts, and ensuring the venue operates smoothly and efficiently. Possess an ability to generate revenue-building ideas throughout all aspects of the business.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure all health, safety, and licensing regulations are adhered to, creating a safe environment for both staff and guests.
* Financial Accountability: Monitor and control operational costs, ensure cash handling procedures are followed, and assist with financial reporting to meet revenue targets.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven Leadership Skills: Previous experience in a similar leadership or supervisory role within the hotel/motel/resort industry with an ability to build genuine connections and anticipate guest needs. Elevated leadership capabilities, to successfully train, develop and guide a team to excellence
* Qualifications:
* Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within the hotel/motel and hospitality industry.
* Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality/Hotel Management or equivalent
* Good foreign language skills (desirable)
* Good IT skills
* Management System: Exceptional experience with RMS or similar
* Passion for Hospitality: A genuine desire to create amazing experiences for guests and an understanding of what it takes to deliver excellence in service.
* Adaptability: Able to thrive in a hotel/resort environment, juggling multiple priorities with a calm, solution-oriented mindset and strong emotional intelligence. The ability to seamlessly manage inquiries, requests, provide feedback with professionalism and discretion and problem solving skills to resolve any issues quickly and effectively.
* Strong Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with both guests and team members.
* Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring all aspects of the venue are operating to the highest standard.
* Required Certifications:
* Current RSA
* Approved Manager's certificate (WA)
* Driver's Licence (Aust)
* Food Handling Certificate
* Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain upon employment)
* Legal Requirements: Must have full working rights in Australia
* Safety Certifications: Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification an advantage
* Availability: Must be flexible to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays and potentially live onsite
Responsibilities
* A hands-on approach and to lead from the front rather than manage.
* Manage daily operations to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant, function area and front desk.
* Proficiency in back of house procedures such as banking, reconciling tills/floats and roster costing
* Oversee employee performance and solve any interpersonal conflicts that may arise.
* Rostering and managing employee schedules and adherence to policies and procedures and implement improvements as needed.
* Ensure customer service meets or exceeds customer expectations and train employees where necessary.
* Build a positive reputation and encourage customer loyalty.
* Manage inventory levels, minimise wastage and maintain cost efficiency.
* Ensure the policies and procedures are being followed by employees and assist in their development.
* Manage budgets to ensure financial stability, control costs and maximise profitability.
* Maintain accurate documentation in paper and digital form, comply with legal requirements and ensure efficient business operations. Ensure team members have the necessary training to follow proper record keeping procedures.
* Report and document any observed issues, potential risks and any incidents
