Bradbury Group Australia is a division of a multi-national corporation that is the largest manufacturer of roll forming and insulated panel lines in the world. We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / General Hand to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Store man with Forklift License is responsible for providing support in various tasks within the organisation, with a primary focus on operating forklifts and heavy rigid vehicles. This role involves the safe and efficient handling of materials, goods, and equipment, as well as assisting in general duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the workshop and warehouse by performing a variety of hands-on tasks, including material handling, basic assembly, and general labouring duties.
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials and components around the facility and between departments.
- Assist tradespeople and technicians with machine builds, grinding, cutting, and using hand and power tools as directed.
- Conduct pre-start checks on forklifts and basic equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Participate in the loading and unloading of deliveries, verifying goods and storing them safely and accurately.
- Help maintain organised and efficient stores and work areas, ensuring materials and tools are stored correctly.
- Perform general warehouse tasks including picking, packing, labelling, and stock control activities such as stocktaking and inventory updates.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment by following workplace health and safety standards.
- Be open to learning new skills and participating in training related to machinery, tools, and warehouse operations.
Key Requirements:
- Valid and current forklift license (LF class) with 2+ years' experience.
- Proven experience in operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management tasks.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to changing work environments.
