 
        
        CHQ HHS established the Fire Safety Advisory and Assurance Unit to establish and monitor effective fire safety controls, training, resilience and response preparedness and assurance to management and the Board. The position of Fire Safety Co-ordinator will support the Manager develop and implement effective procedures and practices by taking a risk-based approach to provide advice and guidance, which includes fire safety compliance analysis, and provide effective fire safety training activities to CHQ staff.
About The Role
This requires the position holder to:
 * Lead on fire safety advisory matters, including reporting of compliance statistics and deliver mandatory fire and evacuation training, training of Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) members, evacuation practices and annual building fire safety inspections.
 * Assist in the development of policies, procedures and control documents including but not limited to Fire and Evacuation Plans, checklists, training packages etc.
 * Assist with the delivery of evacuation practices as required, either physical or theoretical.
 * Participate in fostering a culture of collaboration in our team, as we aim to optimise fire safety outcomes for children and young people, families, staff and contractors.
