Role Description
In this critical role, you will manage our fleet of diagnostic devices and software systems, ensure high-quality standards in sleep study scoring, and support the continuous improvement of our diagnostic services. As the subject matter expert in sleep diagnostics, you'll work closely with internal teams and external scorers to optimize processes and uphold our industry-leading quality benchmarks.
The Senior Sleep Clinician is responsible for managing the operational and quality aspects of sleep diagnostic services. This includes overseeing and maintaining diagnostic equipment and software, ensuring high standards in sleep study quality and scoring accuracy, coordinating logistics for diagnostic devices, and supporting training and performance improvement efforts. The role also involves analysing and reporting on study outcomes, proactively identifying and addressing issues in service delivery, and collaborating with internal teams and external scorers to ensure consistent, reliable, and industry-compliant diagnostic services.
This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent clinical judgement or executive reasoning, a collaborative approach to work, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire others.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A strong understanding of sleep physiology, diagnostics, and therapy, along with proficiency in sleep study scoring using AASM guidelines.
* Familiarity with sleep diagnostic equipment and software, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
* Ability to assess study quality, identify root causes of issues, and implement improvements.
* High-level verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed records.
* A passion for continuous improvement and high-quality patient care
* Detail-oriented, self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
* Formal training or qualifications in sleep science or clinical measurements (desirable but not mandatory).
