About The Role
Sundale is seeking an experienced and hands-on Procurement Manager to lead and evolve its procurement function. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and managing a small team, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring value for money, quality, and compliance across all purchasing and contracting activity. You will be instrumental in shaping strategy, refining processes, and embedding best-practice procurement across the organisation. This role is based in Nambour on the Sunshine Coast.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of procurement and contracting strategies and processes.
* Identify and manage vendor relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and oversee supplier performance.
* Oversee end-to-end procurement activity, including tender processes, contract negotiation, and ongoing supplier governance.
* Maintain purchasing systems, supplier records, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
* Support stakeholders across the business with expert procurement advice, while promoting cost efficiency and process improvement.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and performance support to the Procurement and Contracts Officer.
* Collaborate with internal teams to forecast purchasing needs and manage procurement budgets.
* Contribute to risk management and ensure alignment with Sundale's values and ethical standards.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in a Procurement Manager, Category Manager, or Senior Procurement Specialist role.
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of negotiating high-value contracts and driving supplier performance.
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
* Sound knowledge of procurement frameworks, inventory management, and purchasing systems.
* High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solutions-focused mindset.
* Ability to work within a developing environment.
* Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit environments is desirable.
