About The Role
This position is responsible for providing advice and assistance to Aboriginal customers and investigates complaints concerning tenancy problems. Key responsibilities include:
* Tenancy Support: Provide advice to Aboriginal customers on housing services, assist with resolving tenancy issues, prepare reports and follow-up actions, and offer guidance on sensitive cultural matters.
* Work with government and non-government agencies, community groups and Aboriginal communities to support tenants, improve access to services, and contribute to identifying regional housing needs.
* Policy Input & Consultation: Engage with individuals, Aboriginal interest groups and support agencies to understand tenancy needs and contribute to the assessment and development of policies affecting Aboriginal housing.
* Compliance & Professional Practice: Apply Equal Opportunity, Diversity, Occupational Safety and Health, and ethical standards across all aspects of the role.
