What you willdo
As an Analyst at theAPS5 level in Infrastructure Division, youwill:
* Help deliver workunder the supervision of a Senior Analyst, Assistant Directorand/or Director.
* Contribute to arange of regulatory functions as appropriate, such asundertaking market monitoring, reporting, regulatory andpricing processes, and compliance monitoring activities, toinform evidenced-based decision making.
* Contribute to inputto the development of relevant policy insight andadvocacy.
* Contribute to thedrafting and presentation of analysis, briefs, reports andcorrespondence for a variety of internal and externalstakeholders, including Commissioners, government, businesses,members of the public, consumer advocates and industrygroups.
* Develop andmaintain a range of stakeholder relationships. Represent theteam or agency at internal and external meetings. Liaise withstakeholders on project or operational issues responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
* Share learning andsupport team members. Understand and act on constructivefeedback.
* Make decisionsrelating to assigned tasks based on sound subject matterknowledge and professional judgement, in line with guidancefrom Senior Analyst, Assistant Director and Director in theteam.
* Engagecollaboratively with employees throughout the ACCC and AER andwith other regulators and agencies, including on enforcementand compliance issues relating to specificindustries.
* Contribute to theprovision of advice and assistance to other Divisions of theACCC as required.
As a SeniorAnalyst at the APS6 level in Infrastructure Division, youwill:
* Support therelevant branch leadership to deliver work under thesupervision of an Assistant Director and/orDirector.
* Contribute to arange of regulatory functions as appropriate, such asundertaking market monitoring, reporting, regulatory andpricing processes, and compliance monitoring activities, toinform evidenced-based decision making.
* Contribute to inputto the development of relevant policy insight andadvocacy.
* Draft and presentanalysis, briefs, reports and correspondence for a variety ofinternal and external stakeholders, including Commissioners, government, businesses, members of the public, consumeradvocates and industry groups.
* Develop and supporta range of stakeholder relationships. Represent the agency andpromote its interest. Manage relationships with stakeholders toachieve work area and agency goals. Anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations.
* Share learning andsupport team members. Understand and act on constructivefeedback.
* Make decisionsusing good judgement, expertise and knowledge, in line withbest practice principles, agency operating instructions and/orguidance from Directors and Assistant Directors in theteam.
* Engagecollaboratively with employees throughout the ACCC and AER andwith other regulators and agencies, including on enforcementand compliance issues relating to specificindustries.
* Contribute to theprovision of advice and assistance to other Divisions of theACCC as required.
As a SeniorAnalyst (Regulated Pricing) at the APS6 level in InfrastructureDivision, you will:
* Support therelevant branch leadership to deliver work under thesupervision of an Assistant Director and/orDirector.
* Plan, manage anddeliver specific project or a segment of a project, includingby supervising and guiding junior staff, asappropriate.
* Develop objectivesfor short-term projects/or assigned tasks and contribute tostrategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
* Contribute topricing determinations in relation to the ACCC's functionsacross various industries as appropriate
* Contribute to arange of other regulatory functions as appropriate, such asundertaking market monitoring, reporting, regulatory andcompliance monitoring activities, to inform evidenced-baseddecision making.
* Contribute to inputto the development of relevant policy insight andadvocacy.

As a SeniorProject Officer at the APS6 level in the Coordination and BusinessSupport Unit, you will:
* Contribute to thecoordination of matters of strategic importance to theDivision, including managing or leading a specific project or asegment of a project as appropriate,
* Contribute toDivision skills and capability development such as internalnetworks, graduate and new starter induction materials,internal Division training and seminars.
* Under the guidanceof the Director and Assistant Director (External engagement,Coordination and Reporting) and in consultation with relevantproject teams, contribute to the development of a course ofaction for improvements in existing processes and methods oninternal reporting, and other Division-wide coordinationmatters.
* Conduct andcontribute to international and stakeholder research, liaisonand surveys.
* Prepare and presentbriefing material, reports and recommendations forconsideration by senior management andCommissioners.
* Develop and supporta range of stakeholder relationships. Represent the Divisionand promote its interest. Manage relationships withstakeholders to achieve work area goals. Anticipate and respondto stakeholder needs and expectations.
* Share learning andsupport team members. Understands and act on constructivefeedback.
* Engagecollaboratively with employees across the ACCC and with otherregulators, agencies and international organisations andbodies, including by undertaking ID engagement with otherdivisions across the agency that requirescoordination.

In orderto succeed in the roles:
The Analystrole in particular requires:
* Experience with, orability to quickly develop an understanding of, the regulatory,economic and technical concepts pertaining to infrastructureregulation.
* Anawareness of the aims and functions of the ACCC and theprovisions of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010,and other relevant legislation or the ability to quickly attainthis.
* High qualitywritten and oral communication skills, with an ability toconvey complex and technical material clearly andaccurately.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleaguesand stakeholders.

* Anability to think strategically and research, investigate andanalyse information.
Inaddition to the above, the Senior Analyst role alsorequires:
