**THE ROLE**
As part of our diverse team based in **our Newcastle office**, you will help make a positive impact on someone's life every day. You will feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose.
The IMS will be the expert on workplace injury management practices to support Claims Specialists in our support services portfolio, developing the most effective return to work, return to life and recovery strategies.
This will be a **3 month Max term contract **position commencing as soon as possible with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work directly with claims specialists as part of a team to deliver the best customer experience.
- Provide specialist Injury Management coaching and one on one support to team members regarding claims management strategy and treatment approvals
- Be able to engage and coach team members around medical terminology in a way they can understand
- Assess worker injuries and develop injury management strategies tailored to specific customer needs
- Ensure our claims teams achieve performance and KPI targets as set out as part of the performance framework
**ABOUT YOU**
- Strong injury management capabilities with focus on mental health, medical cases and a variety of physical injuries and situations.
- You may have a strong allied health background with physiotherapy and rehabilitation experience
- Demonstrated experience in Injury management experience or high-risk significant injury claims.
- Experience in creating solutions, problem solving and ability to create innovative solutions for our customers and stakeholders.
- Able to manage complex customers and situations with ease and pressure.
- Experience in insurance/ workers compensation is desirable but not essential
