Reporting to the NDT Team Leader, you will be responsible for the completion of Non-Destructive Testing maintenance tasks on aeronautical products including the Hawk Lead-In Fighter (LIF) and F35 Aircraft.Based at BAE Systems Williamtown offices in NSW, this role has the option of a 9-day fortnight with mobility support available for regional or interstate candidates.Key RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct NDT of Hawk and F35 aircraft and aircraft componentsWork in accordance with approved data and technical authorisationsComplete NDT reports to a high level of technical detail,Perform Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic and Radiographic TestingRoutinely interpret and analyse outputs from NDT digital flaw detectorsLiaise with the appropriate engineers and maintenance staffUndertake specific additional training in new NDT methods and technologiesComply with all safety procedures and legislation associated with NDTAssist the NDT Responsible Level 3 in the development of NDT proceduresMaintenance and calibration on workshops, facilities and equipmentAbout YOU:Aviation trade qualification; Cert IV Aeroskills or equivalent (Mandatory)Qualified Level 2 Non-Destructive Testing technician in accordance with EN 4179 or equivalent (Mandatory)Experience with Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic and Radiographic Test methods (Radiographic Test experience not essential)Demonstrated experience performing aircraft maintenance and NDTComplete annual/five yearly practical/theoretical examination/assessment.Experience with developing new technical proceduresExperience with risk management systems and completing risk assessments.About US:You will be joining a workplace that truly cares about your wellbeing.
