Accountant Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial services, supporting statutory reporting, management accounting, and financial analysis.
About the Role:
* The Accountant will assist with monthly management accounting and end-of-year financial statements.
* They will complete end-of-month close-off procedures and reconciliations.
* The position involves managing Accounts Receivable processes, invoicing, and payment plans.
* Daily bank reconciliations and weekly banking activities will also be overseen.
* Maintenance of the fixed asset register and support for ERP systems is required.
* The Accountant will provide backup support for payroll and accounts payable during staff leave.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation and submission of financial reports to stakeholders.
* General Ledger Management: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger entries.
* Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking.
* Banking and Cash Management: Perform daily bank reconciliations and oversee weekly banking activities.
* Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.
* ERP Support: Provide technical support for ERP systems and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Requirements:
* Candidate Requirements: CPA or CA qualified (or working towards).
* Educational Background: Degree in Business, Commerce, or Finance with an Accounting major.
* Experience: Proven experience in financial reporting and general ledger management.
* Skills: Strong analytical skills and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Sage300) and advanced Excel.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and time management skills.
