The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world's leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability.

Your responsibilities will include: Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of AMEs, fostering a strong safety culture and high-performance mindset Coordinate aircraft and component maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget Act as technical authority within your level of delegation, ensuring technical regulatory compliance within a DASR 145 Maintenance Organisation Work closely with stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues impacting delivery Perform AME, Maintenance Inspector/Supervisor, and/or Independent Inspector duties as required Certify maintenance and inspections within your authority, or plan and oversee required inspections Develop team capability by maintaining and enhancing skills, qualifications, and authorisations Allocate labour and resources efficiently to maximise productivity and minimise cost About you: Take the lead on one of the world's most respected military helicopter platforms.
As an AME Team Lead on the UH-60M program, you'll combine hands-on technical expertise with people leadership to deliver safe, compliant, and mission-ready aircraft.
In this technical leadership role, you'll guide and mentor a skilled maintenance team, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and in line with local and international aviation regulations.
You'll play a key role in maintaining airworthiness, driving quality, and supporting the long-term capability of the fleet.
Certificate IV or higher in Aeroskills (Avionics, Mechanical, Structures, or related discipline) from a recognised institution Recognised aircraft trade qualifications (apprenticeship, trade papers, indentures, etc.) S-70A-9 MAML (or equivalent UH-60 experience highly regarded) Strong working knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks (DASR, AMO, CASA, EASA and/or FAA) Proven experience maintaining helicopters and/or complex aircraft components Demonstrated technical expertise on the relevant aircraft type Confident communicator with the ability to lead, coach, and influence Strong computer skills, including MS Office and maintenance management systems Why this role: Leadership position on a flagship aircraft platform Hands-on technical work combined with real decision-making authority Opportunity to mentor and shape the next generation of AMEs Work in a structured, safety-focused, and professionally respected environment UH-60M Type Training provided for suitably qualified candidates who do not already hold the type Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
