Medison Construction Pty Ltd is a reputable Sydney-based construction company specialising in shop fitting and residential renovations. Due to continuous growth, we are seeking an experienced Joiner/Carpenter to join our team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for manufacturing and installing high-quality joinery and timber fittings for commercial and residential projects.
Your duties will include:
* Install custom joinery including kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, wall panelling, shopfitting and built-in furniture on residential and commercial sites.
* Interpret architectural, joinery and shop drawings, plans and specifications to accurately set out joinery on site.
* Measure, set out, scribe, trim and modify joinery components on site to achieve precise fit and finish.
* Assemble and install joinery components including cabinet carcasses, benchtops, panels, feature walls and decorative joinery elements.
* Fit and adjust doors, drawers, hinges, runners, handles and associated hardware to a high standard.
* Ensure all installed joinery is level, plumb, square and aligned to specified tolerances.
* Carry out on-site adjustments, rectification and finishing works to meet quality standards and client expectations.
* Coordinate with site supervisors, builders and other trades to ensure smooth installation sequencing.
* Protect finished surfaces and maintain a clean, safe and organised work area on site.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Joiner / Carpenter
* Experience in joinery, shop fitting, and fit-out works
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Reliable, punctual, and professional work attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* White Card (required)
* Trade qualification, registration, or relevant licence preferred
* Own tools and transport preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $97,802.00 per year
