The School of Rural Health (Dubbo/Orange) is looking for a Manager, Education Support. We are a rural clinical school of the Sydney Medical School with locations in both Dubbo and Orange. Our aim is to contribute to the development of the rural medical workforce by providing training in an environment that delivers medical graduates and doctors with the aptitude, knowledge, and skills to provide quality care for rural, regional, and remote Australia. We have teaching, clinical and accommodation facilities in both Dubbo and Orange for students undertaking their study with us.
In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination of medical student teaching and education related activities across the School of Rural Health (Dubbo/Orange) to ensure delivery of core education objectives.
Reporting to the School Manager (School of Rural Health (Dubbo/Orange), you will manage the team responsible for all aspects of education delivery within the school. You will manage the provision of a broad range of educational support services to academic and teaching staff, ensuring the educational needs of the work area are met effectively and efficiently.
Your key responsibilities will be to: provide operational advice and guidance on matters of education strategy and policy effectively lead the team with a customer-orientated, service provision mentality ensuring timely delivery of quality educational programs provide operational planning and resource management to ensure optimal allocation of education support resources across both sites. develop and nurture community and stakeholder relationships to aid in the effective delivery of teaching oversee and is responsible for local delivery of education programs, including MD, providing feedback on curriculum delivery, implementation, and planning, liaison with Faculty, Sydney Medical School, and other Clinical Schools regarding delivery. About you ability to lead, motivate and develop team members, to establish team priorities and manage competing deadlines for self and others demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to influence and negotiate to achieve required outcomes taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work excellent organisational and time management skills, particularly when working with a large volume of enquiries well-developed skills in communication (both verbal and written), including the ability to negotiate and resolve conflict with tact and discretion.
