About the Role:
As a key team member, rent assistance is available for the right candidate to support with accommodation costs.
The successful applicant will possess the skills necessary to carry out electrical maintenance, capital for a factory/plant to meet maintenance targets, goals and objectives. The successful applicants will be required to:
* Carry out mill plant maintenance and capital works as directed which pertain to skills held. Plant items include wiring, circuitry, mills, turbines, fugals, conveyors, carriers, pumps, fans, gearboxes, motors, vessels.
* Work as part of a maintenance crew to meet the agreed factory production and maintenance targets.
* Work in conjunction with parameters set by established condition monitoring techniques.
* Complete electrical work for projects to enhance the operational availability of plant and equipment.
* Actively participate in and support Company Workplace Health and Safety initiatives
What we are looking for:
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the shift role will require the job holder to install, maintain, and diagnose faults/repair electrical systems, including:
* General plant wiring, lighting, and circuitry
* Motor starters and variable speed drives (VSDs)
* Electrical components specific to sugar milling processes
Experience with computerised maintenance systems is a plus, along with the ability to assist with project development for plant improvements.
Qualifications
A Queensland Electrical License endorsed as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, Electrical Mechanic or equivalent.
Employment Benefits:
The terms and conditions of the Millaquin and Refinery Enterprise Agreement 2023 (EBA) or subsequent agreement will apply.
* 4 weeks of annual leave plus 25% leave loading
* 1 week of travel leave per year
* Long service leave (13 weeks after 10 years of service)
* Hours of work in accordance with a shift roster, ordinary hours of work are an average of 38 per week
* Rostered days off to allow for the work/life balance
* Other allowances payable as per the EBA
